    Overview

    The Solar Sales Advisor is the first point of contact for most of solarcity’s residential customers, and is responsible for qualifying leads, scheduling appointments and providing handovers for Sales Specialists. The candidate will become a subject matter expert in energy rate plans and utilities. The ideal candidate must have a high degree of maturity, be a team player, and can handle a high volume of leads.

    Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the success of the organisation by guiding quality prospects through the sales channel
    • Prospect, generate interest, and qualify new accounts
    • Schedule consultations over the phone, prepare presentations and complete live handovers to our Solar Specialists
    • Determine suitability of sites using proprietary tools and satellite technology
    • Working to agreed individual and team KPI's
    • Deal effectively with all enquiries and represent solarcity in a professional manner
    • Must be able to elicit customers' interest and concerns which providing pertinent information to the customer
    • Developing and maintaining brand and product knowledge

    What you should bring to the team

    • At least 1 year of inside sales experience in a targeted environment
    • Well-developed sales methodology; ability to promote and sell benefits of technical products
    • Highly developed communication and articulation skills
    • Self-motivated and results driven
    • Previous call centre experience is preferred
    • Ability to learn new technology and procedures
    • Proficient with MS Office and CRM systems
    • Must be consistently customer focused to ensure high level of customer satisfaction
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • University graduate preferred

    Hours & availability

    The Inside Sales Team is staffed 6 days a week. As such, the successful candidate must be prepared to work a full 40-hour week within 1 of these schedules:

    • Schedule 1 - Monday through Friday. Availability required between the hours of 10:00 to 20:00
    • Schedule 2 - Tuesday through Saturday. Availability required between the hours of 10:00 to 20:00

    Overview

    Our Solar Sales Specialists strive to exceed customer expectations and build strong relationships with home-owners. They actively identify and pursue leads, address customers' questions and concerns, and meet sales quotas of solar systems and energy efficiency services.

    Responsibilities

    • Sales of residential solar energy efficiency services
    • Inbound and outbound, warm and cold dialling required
    • Closing deals and signing contracts via phone and online conference calls
    • Utilising online tools and conducting preliminary design evaluations to develop an initial system design
    • Generating project presentation and quotes for customers
    • Analysis of customers' current and projected electrical usage and savings we will deliver
    • Must have a clear understanding of contract agreements and be able to explain and review agreements with customers
    • Communicating with the Customer Experience Team throughout post-sales process
    • Logging all communications with customers in CRM contact database
    • Working to agreed individual and team KPIs
    • Additional duties required as needed

    What you should bring to the team

    • At least 2 years of full sales cycle experience with a proven track record of success in a target driven role
    • Previous Inside Sales experience is a plus
    • Business to Consumer experience is a plus (financial services, insurance, investments, etc)
    • Proven ability to build and develop business relationships
    • Experience building a book of referral business
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic Excel
    • CRM experience, especially Salesforce a plus
    • Desire to stay on the leading edge of the solar and renewable energies industry
    • University degree preferred
    • All candidates must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

    Overview

    You will be responsible for the initial and ongoing training for our sales and customer experience teams. This includes new hire training, new processes/product rollouts as well as continuing education and professional growth courses. You will create, participate in and deliver training programs. You will work closely with the Customer Account Management Team to align courses and learning paths with the company and business unit goals. You have a wide degree of creativity and self-motivation, and have a reputation for high energy and a passion for providing tools for success.

    Responsibilities

    • Strategise and develop effective training modules, materials, and schedules including presentations, reference pieces and laboratory exercises while considering costs and budget
    • Deliver materials and training modules to our teams in multiple forums including individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations and workshops
    • Conduct assessments before and after training to measure information retention, application and to uncover potential follow-up training needs
    • Strategise with subject matter experts to ensure that learning solutions are enabling end users to successfully understand new concepts, processes or product
    • Determine best practices for communicating new or changed processes and products
    • Review and analyse documents such as technical data, business requirement documents, operating procedures and procedure manuals, and determine and improve training needs
    • Work with Instructional Design team to create the outline, content and messaging of training
    • Stay abreast of process and policy changes that affect solarcity procedures and call centre/operations
    • Show impactful results from performing continuous assessment and improvements of the training programme based on feedback analysis
    • Drive other projects as needed or as business needs change

    What you should bring to the team

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • 1-3 years of experience in the training field or a related area
    • Able to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment, such as a start-up or transitional operation
    • Friendly, clear, strong speaker with composure, approachability, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to learn and use web online learning tools to create and administer training
    • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills required with the proven ability to successfully deliver and communicate complex technical training in non-technical language
    • Creativity and imagination to bring fresh ideas to the design of robust, engaging and effective training courses
    • Previous Sales, Call Centre, energy or telecoms experience is a plus

    Overview

    The Customer Account Management Team is responsible for finding business solutions to highly complex and often difficult business challenges. The team is a diverse reflection of the solarcity workforce and is comprised of individuals from a variety of backgrounds including Legal, Finance, Operations, Customer Care, IT and Engineering. Together the team builds innovative solutions that directly influence the processes, procedures, and best practices of solarcity.

    The ideal candidate must be capable of providing a 360 degree view of a given situation by addressing Sales, Legal, Operational, Information Technology and Financial factors. Strong analytical skills, combined with investigative, project and management skills are essential, as well as the ability to work well both in a team and independently. The Analyst directly manages relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and must have initiative and be able to influence disparate teams to lead projects to a successful resolution.

    In all associations, the Analyst must exercise a high degree of integrity and discretion to independently and objectively determine the best solution for both the company and the customer. The successful candidate will be required to manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining excellent customer service levels, often in difficult circumstances.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain control of solarcity's end to end customer journey process to ensure that any changes do not compromise process integrity
    • Intake escalated customer journey issues from various internal teams or external sources and see them through to resolution
    • Analyse business process issues, identifying root cause, resolution options and prioritisation considerations
    • Produce issue resolution documentation to enable efficient and effective handover to IT and/or training resources as appropriate
    • Recommend, develop and implement opportunities for improvements to existing processes to improve customer experience, quality, speed or cost savings
    • Manage and interface with key internal and external stakeholders to resolve projects effectively and promptly, ensuring multiple departments adhere to deadlines
    • Drive other projects as required or as business needs change

    What you should bring to the team

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant project management and/or business analysis role preferred
    • Strong analytical, investigative and problem solving skills with keen attention to detail
    • Ability to independently prioritise and multi-task, with the flexibility to adapt quickly to change
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to synthesise relevant details within complex situations
    • Experience using enterprise customer relationship management and/or enterprise resource planning software
    • Strong communicator who is able to combine tact with clarity
    • Excellent customer service skills required
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
    • Enterprise MS Office, with ability to learn new software/tools with minimal supervision
    • Ability to positively and effectively interact with internal and external customers
