The ‘Solar Freedom’ lease

This provides you with a financing option that allows them to go solar 0% down and a monthly lease fee. This investment is one of the few that will on average provide tax free returns to consumers of 7% a year. Our aim with the Solar Freedom lease is to structure the leases so that you will be cash flow positive from day one on the investment you are making.

The ‘Solar Saver’ scheme

We helped develop this scheme with Nelson City Council and the government's Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA). It uses the Council's ability to borrow money at cheap rates and make that finance available to rate payers through a targeted rate. When you purchase a system using the scheme the cost is attached to your property so any repayments stay with the home when you move.

Cash advantage

The economics of purchasing your system using cash have never been better with the government grants that are currently in place. Across the past 10 years the price of electricity has increased by 72%. Our solar systems have an expected useful life of 25 years plus and will continue to hedge you against future price rises and the expected rise due in 2010 when homeowners are charged an additional carbon fee for their electricity. Solar hot water is one of the few investments you can make that delivers tax free returns and is guaranteed to become increasingly valuable.
