Products

We have successfully installed over 8000* systems and our Thermocell panels have stood the test of time having been on rooftops for 30 years across New Zealand.  Our systems are manufactured and fabricated here, bringing more green jobs to Kiwi workers and keeping transportation and environmental footprint low compared to overseas manufacturers.
*  8000 systems are a mix of solar hot water and solar photovoltaics.  The economics of solar hot water has historically been better for homeowners, consequently the majority of our installations have used that technology.

Solar PV

Our Solar Sunroof system is designed for easy installation onto existing roofs. It uses the latest state of the art photovoltaic panels that offer the best combination of quality and performance.

We are not tied to any one manufacturer and purchase panels based on quality, value and performance. There are two types of solar power systems that can be used on homes or businesses:

Grid Connect Solar Systems – these generate power on your roof and feed it into your home with any surplus power being fed back to the electricity grid.  When surplus power is fed back to the grid, your energy retailer credits your account - with the potential to substantially reduce or eliminate your power bill.  The amount of credit you receive for surplus power depends on which energy retailer you get your power from.

Off Grid Solar Systems – these generate power on your roof and feed it to storage batteries for use in your home or business.  They are a cost effective solution for lifestyle blocks or businesses faced with a large connection cost to the main electricity grid.  The solar panels charge a battery bank, which in turn is used to power a home or business.

How to Choose the Right System

There are a range of important issues to consider when deciding  what system size and type of solar PV panel system will best suit your needs.  As a first step, it is important to calculate your current energy usage, which can be easily done by reviewing your electricity bill or contacting your supplier and asking for a summary of your last year's bill.  By understanding how much power you currently use, we are able to recommend what size system will reduce or eliminate your power bill.
