New Zealand's leading solar power company solarcity celebrated the launch of solarZero, a first of its kind $0 down solar power programme by giving locals free coffee and the chance to learn more about the benefits of solar power.
"Nelson was the birthplace of the company and the nation's first true solar city. To celebrate this we are giving everyone in Nelson the chance to install solar panels with no upfront cost paying only for the power they generate rather than the panels and giving them their first month of solar power free," says Andrew Booth, founder and CEO of solarcity.
Over its rich 35 year history solarcity has put more panels on homes and businesses than anyone else in New Zealand. Booth says the upfront cost of installing solar is often what puts others off making the solar switch. With no upfront costs now there is no barrier.
