New solar service for central Otago helps beat rising power prices

Switching to solar power is a smart choice for central Otago homeowners who are being “suckerpunched” by power retailers charging high power prices, says the head of solarcity, New Zealand’s leading energy services company.

He says customers simply pay a low, fixed monthly fee for energy services that are guaranteed for 20 years, providing inflation-free solar power that can save thousands of dollars on power bills over that term.

As a product extension to the solarZero service, battery storage can be added which means surplus solar power generated during the day can be stored and used at night and when power prices are high.
